Two sessions of an English-language intercultural camp were implemented at the Szeged Partfürdő, involving seven international volunteers and two supporting volunteers. The participants of the camp were primary and secondary school students, with a total of 28 young people taking part.
The primary target group of the programme consisted of secondary school students from Szeged, for whom the camp provided a valuable opportunity to communicate in English with young people who did not speak Hungarian. As a result, the success of the camp activities depended on shared communication and cooperation.
Owing to the small age difference between the students from Szeged and the international volunteers, they quickly found common ground through music, fashion and sport, while the various games filled the programme with energy and enthusiasm.
