Dance of Nations

Dance of Nations was a thematic workshop held in English, organised with the involvement of the international volunteers of the Talentum Foundation. In 2025, alongside practising the English language, we set as our objective the shared experience of dancing and singing together.

The primary target group of the programme consisted of secondary school students studying in Szeged. The initiative offered them a valuable opportunity to practise English in a creative, communication-based setting beyond formal classroom instruction, while also learning about different nations and their traditional dances. A total of 15 participants attended the programme, which was held at Partfürdő between 30 June and 4 July 2025.

The invited countries were Spain, Portugal, Greece and Georgia. The visiting young participants all had a background in dance and spoke English fluently. Each day focused on the dance and culture of a different country, presented in English. Building on the growing confidence of the young people from Szeged, Friday was dedicated to Hungary, when Hungarian culture, traditional dances and folk songs were introduced in English.
