LONG-TERM INNOVATIVE VOLUNTEER ENGINE - Connection and communication through volunteering

    2025-3-HU01-KA153-YOU-000387723
    2026.02.01.-2027.02.28.

The LIVE (LONG-TERM INNOVATIVE VOLUNTEER ENGINE - Connection and communication through volunteering) project was born from the recognition that engaging young people in community life no longer works within traditional frameworks. Volunteering can only become a real opportunity for them if civil, public, and for-profit actors work together consciously and involve young people in joint projects and actions that encourage them to contribute to building their local communities and environment.

The aim of the LIVE project is to provide youth workers with practical knowledge and tools that enable them to initiate and sustain cross-sectoral volunteering initiatives in the long term. The project focuses not only on methodological development, but also on building partnerships and shaping attitudes.

Main elements of the implementation include:

             - International preparatory meeting

             - International training workshop for youth workers in Szeged

             - Online visual methodological guide

             - Local volunteering actions and professional multiplication in partner countries

             - Networking and joint evaluation

At the core of the project is the professional development of youth workers. Participants will map the cooperation opportunities within their own communities, take part in joint volunteering actions, and develop their facilitation, coordination, and inclusive engagement skills through experiential learning.

The online infographic-based guide developed during the international workshop will provide practical support for initiating cross-sector cooperation, ensuring that the project’s results remain applicable even after the programme has ended. In the second phase of the project, the focus shifts to local implementation: participants will launch collaboration-based volunteering initiatives within their own communities, paying particular attention to involving young people with fewer opportunities. The long-term goal of LIVE is to make volunteering more accessible for young people and more strategically integrated for organisations, while strengthening connections within and between local communities.
