In 2026, the Talentum Foundation will once again implement a comprehensive professional programme focused on strengthening civil society organisations and increasing the social visibility of volunteering. The programme is implemented with the support of the National Cooperation Fund.
The LIVE project was born from the recognition that engaging young people in community life no longer works within traditional frameworks. Volunteering can only become a real opportunity for them if civil, public, and for-profit actors work together consciously and involve young people in joint projects and actions that encourage them to contribute to building their local communities and environment.
The project called Vivid Variety of Value-based Volunteering was planned to increase volunteer engagement in V4 countries. It based on three essential pillars: a strong public reputation for volunteering, high rate of volunteers in the countries and empowered host organizations.
In July 2025, the Talentum Foundation, as the coordinator, launched an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership project aimed at developing the capacities of organizations involved in local volunteering and in hosting/sending ESC volunteers, through the collaboration of civil society organizations from four countries (Georgia, Hungary, Portugal, and Turkey).
On 25 September 2025, the Talentum Foundation organised a memorable city excursion for the residents of the Kálvária Residential Care Home, fulfilling a long-held wish to revisit the streets of Szeged and relive cherished memories from their youth.
The professional programme delivered as part of the project was structured around two pillars, centred on organising events that reflect the two core areas of activity of the Talentum Foundation.
The Talentum Foundation is once again playing an active role this year in the VERA 2025 programme of the European Volunteer Centre (Centre for European Volunteering – CEV), which forms part of the #REVIVE partnership framework agreement. The overall objective of VERA 2025 is to make volunteering more inclusive and more representative of society as a whole.
Dance of Nations was a thematic workshop held in English, organised with the involvement of the international volunteers of the Talentum Foundation. In 2025, alongside practising the English language, we set as our objective the shared experience of dancing and singing together.
The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is a programme funded by the European Union with the aim of enabling young people to engage in volunteering activities abroad.
The Talentum Foundation for the Support of Volunteering (Szeged) and the Archdiocesan Office for Family Ministry of Alba Iulia (Târgu Mureș), with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme, launched a 15-month project starting in December 2024 entitled “Building a path towards the practical implementation of a inclusive, flexible and family based volunteering”.
In November 2024, the Talentum Foundation launched a new Erasmus+ project entitled “Voluntary Action Cuisine”, involving civil society organizations from five countries: Hungary, Slovakia, Albania, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
The aim of the Be Present. Be a Volunteer! project was to provide secondary school students with the opportunity to engage in volunteer cooperation with target groups whom they might not ordinarily encounter in their everyday lives. The objective was to encourage young people not to live exclusively in the online space, but to become active in the offline world as well. To achieve this, volunteer actions were implemented for various beneficiary groups, with young participants acting as active planners and organisers of the programmes.
